Wow! I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who came by our first unofficial happy hour. I think at the peak, we had about 35 people here, and it really was fun getting to meet and talk to neighbors. There was good conversation, yummy food, and even jello shots, for God's sake! I feel so grateful to have such open, warm, and fun neighbors right here in my own neighborhood.
I am planning to tell my in-town friends to watch out! Grogan's Bluff has got it going on, and I am so happy to be here.
What do you guys think about an oyster fest sometime in the next 3 or 4 weeks? We would, of course, have some non seafood items, for the land lovers, but we would order fresh seafood. Maybe we could all contribute some money and plan it together. What do you think? Any ideas?? I am happy to host that if you like.
Also, Grogan's Bluff does not have a community outreach division. Maybe we could each bring a book we no longer want to donate to the library? I think it would be wonderful to support our local community and also our own neighborhood one at the same time. Any thoughts on that?
There was some great interest in a mini boot camp in the neighborhood with a trainer. I will make the calls and see if we can set something up starting the week after next. Let me know if you want to be on the list.
I will talk to you all soon! Remember, if you want me to post something for you, please just email it to me, and I will post it for you on this site. (Mariegraham1970@aol.com)
